Friday, September 3rd, 2:00 PM
For children ages 8 and up
Make a t-shirt into a peace-inspired work of art while enjoying Beatles music and scenes from Beatles videos.
Fall Potpourri Sachet
Saturday, September 4th, 2:00 PM
For children ages 4 and up
Sewing never smelled so sweet. Learn to trace and cut out pumpkin patterns from felt, fill with fragrant potpourri and sew together to make a lovely sachet. It’s the perfect fall decoration.
Tuesday Tales Writing Club
Tuesdays, September 7th and 21st, 4:00 PM
For children ages 8 and up
We’ll read a few short tales/stories of different kinds: comic, suspense, wild nature and gossip. Then we’ll write and share our own tales just for the pure enjoyment of writing with restraints.
Apples, Apples, Apples!
Saturday, September 11th, 2:00 PM
For children ages 4 and up
We’ll read several apple stories in honor of the favorite fruit of the fall, then taste some delicious homemade applesauce, followed by a fun apple craft.
Afternoon Tea With “T”

Our popular summer morning program, Tea with “T”, returns on a monthly basis in the afternoon for the fall. Enjoy a delicious cup of tea, perhaps some other treats and fantastic stories with “T”!
Ongoing Story Times
Babies & Books, Wednesdays at 10:00 am, for babies up to age 15 months.

Rhyme Time: Thursdays at 10:00 am. For children ages 1 - 3. Join us for songs, rhymes, stories and a very simple craft!
Story Time: Saturdays at 10:00 am. For children ages 4 - 7. Come share great stories and a fun craft!
Advance registration is not required for ongoing story times.

J Fiction: Drizzle by Kathleen Van Cleve. For ages 8 - 12. An unusual fantasy story about an eleven-year-old girl who lives on a magical rhubarb farm. When a drought threatens the farm, Polly tries to find a way to make it rain again. With its memorable setting and sensitive narrator, this book will make you believe in magic!
J Picture Book: City Dog, Country Frog by Mo Willems For ages 4 - 7. Wonderful, expressive illustrations and a special exploration of the nature of true friendship, the seasons, and the cycle of life make this another winner for the very talented Mr. Willems.
J Non-fiction: How to Clean a Hippopotamus: A Look at Unusual Animal Partnershipsby Steve Jenkins and Robin Page. For ages 5 - 10. Steve Jenkins and his wife do a masterful job of explaining and illustrating, through Jenkins’ signature cut-paper collages, the concept of animal symbiosis. A fascinating look at some surprising animal relationships.

J Fiction: Cosmic by Frank Cottrell Boyce Umansky. For ages 9-12. Liam is not a typical 12 year-old boy. On his first day of school the principal mistakes him for a teacher! Normally this would be a problem, but when Liam decides to leave Earth in a spaceship meant for children and one adult chaperon, he easily cons his way into being that adult chaperon. That’s when the adventure begins. When the spaceship gets stranded hundred of thousands of miles from Earth - who’s going to be at adult now? This story has humor and a likable main character! You’ll enjoy reading about how he solves his out of this world dilemma!
J Picture Book – Lyle walks the dogs: a counting book by Bernard Waber. For ages 2-6. Lovable, Lyle, Lyle Crocodile is back is this fantastic counting book. One of my best childhood memories is actually meeting Bernard Weber in elementary school and learning how to draw Lyle. I’m so happy to see Lyle again in this cute story about him and some adorable dogs. Can he handle walking TEN dogs at once? You’ll have to read it and see!
J Non-Fiction: The great and only Barnum: The tremendous, stupendous life of showman P.T Barnum by Candace Fleming. For ages 9-12. Ladies and gentlemen, children of ALL ages, get to know the famous showman P.T Barnum, best known for his part in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. This biography is filled with interesting facts and actual photos of original circus acts such as Jo Jo, the dog faced boy and Captain George Contentenus, tattooed from head to foot!
